In between, a series of decisions to be taken that will have a strong impact on the lives of Italians, starting with the extension of the ban on travel between Regions, moreover on the eve of tomorrow's CDM.

The presidents of the regions have sent the new executive headed by Mario Draghi a document with their proposals in view of tomorrow's Council of Ministers which in all likelihood will extend the ban on moving between regions until 5 March, the date on which it will be necessary to renew the whole system of anticovid measures in place.

A new regime with respect to which the Regions are asking for a change of pace, starting with an acceleration of the vaccination plan.

Among the requests of the governors, the expansion of the control room to the Ministers of Economic Development and the Economy, that the same provision that sets restrictions for the country and then for individual territories also active indemnities, a number of risks for the activity and forms of parental leave for school closures, with additional resources to support parents.

The president of the Liguria Region,

Giovanni Toti

, taking stock of the pandemic on Facebook, a few moments before the start of the confrontation between the Government and the Regions, wrote: "The Government has summoned us for a new confrontation between the Government and the Regions because tomorrow in the council of ministers will renew that decree law which provides for a series of limitations related to the pandemic. Then the real confrontation will be between tomorrow and March 5 when the Dpcm signed by the then president of the council Conte expires, the one that establishes when you enter the yellow, orange and red zone, and therefore the 'pulp' of the Covid legislation is contained in the Dpcm, while tomorrow's decree contains the ban on moving between regions. We will see how the government intends to approach this issue ".

"The Regions had already given a favorable opinion to extend the" travel bans "for some time also for all the alarms related to the variants. We expect it to be confirmed at least until the new Dpcm comes into force - added Toti - . Then in the first weeks of March we will have dealt with all the proposals regarding the revision of the parameters, of the zones and the possibility of making smaller orange and red zones at a regional level ".
