Renata Chlumska started her career as an adventurer in 1996 when she was base camp manager on a Swedish expedition to Mount Everest.
After the expedition, she returned home from Nepal to Sweden by bicycle with her then fiancé Göran Kropp.
It was after that expedition that her dream of climbing Mount Everest herself was born.
In 1999, she fulfilled her dream, when she was the first Swedish woman to reach the top of the mountain and this is also the adventure she holds highest if she has to choose one of all the challenges she has taken on over the years.
- It is an expedition that was both difficult and tough, but at the same time absolutely fantastic, she says when SVT Nyheter meets her on the mountain at Stadsparken in Jönköping.
