Berlin (dpa / lhe) - Within one day, 555 new infections with the corona virus were registered in Hesse.
The number of deaths related to the virus increased by 22 to 5664, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Sunday (as of 3:10 a.m.).
The so-called 7-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within the past 7 days, rose again slightly.
It was 60 on Sunday - after 57.3 on Saturday.
According to the intensive care registry of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive and Emergency Medicine (Divi), 292 Covid-19 patients were treated in intensive care units in Hesse (as of Sunday, 9:19 a.m.).
155 of them were ventilated.
Nationwide, 1689 out of 1933 intensive care beds were occupied, including patients with other diseases.
