Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (dpa / lrs) - A 30-year-old in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse alerted the police because of a rather unusual find on his balcony on the upper floor.
After a loud impact, the man found a bone on the balcony, the police said on Sunday.
Since no one lived above him anymore, the matter had seemed strange to him.
He called the police after the find on Saturday.
The emergency services discovered on site that the find was an industrially manufactured dog chew bone.
The investigators believe that a thief bird stole the bone and dropped it over the balcony.
"The thief could no longer be identified," says the police report.
