Many of them come from the MPC, UPC or anti-balaka armed groups.

These are groups that signed

Kamba Kota's

declaration

creating the armed coalition that has been trying to overthrow the power of Bangui since December.

Most of the 12 personalities dismissed had been appointed following the signing of

the Khartoum agreements

of February 2019 which provided in particular for "

inclusiveness and positive discrimination at all levels of the State

".

The constitution of a government, with the participation of members of armed groups, was one of the first measures not always understood or accepted by the Central African population.

This is the second wave of dismissals.

On December 31

, President Touadéra had excluded from their official functions the main warlords such as Ali Darass, Mahamat Al Khatim or even Maxime Mokom.

This series of dismissals comes as the authorities are in full armed offensive on the territory, supported by their Russian and Rwandan allies.

They are taking up position in many localities across the country.

Among the most important catches of recent days: Bambari, stronghold of the UPC.

The Prime Minister announced this Sunday morning that the Central African army is at the gates of Bossangoa, stronghold of the former head of state, François Bozizé.
