The French Quentin Fillon-Maillet took Sunday in Pokljuka the bronze medal of the mass start, last race of the Biathlon Worlds won by the Norwegian Sturla Holm Laegreid, who won his second solo title.

Fillon-Maillet, hitherto empty-handed, can thus console himself with this first podium, he who aspired to return from Slovenia with at least one worldwide success.

Norwegian Johannes Dale finished 2nd.

Laegreid, revelation of the season, established himself at 24 as the future star of biathlon and won his 4th gold medal in this competition after his victories in the mixed relay, individual and relay.

The other Blues have particularly suffered and leave the Worlds on a very salty note, like Emilien Jacquelin.

Adept at these races in direct confrontation, the double world champion completely cracked on his 2nd lying shot with 5 faults, finishing last.
