Stuttgart (AP) - Players and employees of the Bundesliga soccer club VfB Stuttgart are again foregoing parts of their salaries due to the financial losses caused by the corona crisis.
«The salary waiver applies retrospectively from January.
The boys will help us for a full six months, ”said VfB sports director Sven Mislintat on Sunday.
“We asked the boys and all of the employees because we can no longer count on calculated audience numbers.
And all the players helped - just like all the employees. "
The talks did not last long, added the 48-year-old.
"For us as a club, the viewer income is an important source of income that is breaking away."
At the beginning of the corona pandemic, professionals and club management had waived up to around 20 percent of their salaries from the end of March 2020.
