Upwards of 200 people have heard of it since the Blocket advertisement for the 1-krona apartment was published.

But the great interest in the apartment has not only been good, the mayor thinks.

- We are a public benefit and not a for-profit company.

But now it will be an open bidding for it to go right and I hope that the apartment gets a price picture that is reasonable based on the market.

That everyone who bids has common sense, says Christer Normark, municipal manager in Sorsele.

There are now two apartments

Next week, the municipality will send out a detailed prospectus to everyone who wants to participate in the bidding.

A news is that the municipality will then offer two apartments because on Friday morning there was a rebid of a similar apartment in the same house.

- It will be the same procedure for both apartments and when we have received a highest bidder, we will carry out a credit report and then the tenant-owner association must approve the buyer before it becomes a deal, says Christer Normark.

Big news in Russia

In Russia, more than 10 news stations picked up the news.

Among other things, the daily newspaper Pravda.

But especially many Russians have not heard from him.

Just a few according to the mayor Christer Normark.

The municipality has also received many interesting calls during the past week.

A person who heard from him thought that Sorsele is part of Botkyrka municipality.

And the most long-distance speculator is a person from Argentina.

- Yes, it was an Argentine citizen who has relatives here in Sorsele who could consider buying the apartment.

But I do not think that everyone who has heard of it has understood that it is a monthly rent that must also be paid, says Christer Normark.
