Saint-Etienne pulled off a disappointing draw against Reims (1-1), Saturday at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, after a poor match during which the Greens paid their offensive bankruptcy.

Certainly, ASSE, 14th in the standings pending the other matches of the 26th day of Ligue 1 Saturday and Sunday, remains on a series of five games without defeat (two draws, three victories) but the Stéphanois were unable to confirm their success in Rennes (2-0).

It was Charles Abi, who came into play in the 59th minute in place of the very disappointing Anthony Modeste, who equalized at the very end of the game by resuming a shot from Harold Moukoudi pushed back to the line by Marshal Munetsi (89th).

Reims took the advantage in the second half with a goal signed by two substitutes, who entered on time: El Bilal Touré headed a corner played by Moussa Doumbia (72nd).

Shortly after, Boulaye Dia missed the opportunity to bring the score to 2-0 but his shot grazed the post of Jessy Moulin (74).

In additional time, Bouanga, at close range, still missed an incredible opportunity to allow the Stéphanois to win over the wire in additional time (90th + 1).

Previously, the Greens have been particularly harmless, struggling to enter the opponent's penalty area.

Only Bouanga on a free kick (28th), Mahdi Camara (61st), Arnaud Nordin (62nd), Yvan Neyou (62nd) or Mathieu Debuchy (70th) managed to create timid opportunities before the equalizer.

Adil Aouchiche, from the head, was more dangerous (87th).

Reims, which remains on four unsuccessful matches in the Championship and is no longer in contention in the Coupe de France, continues to stagnate in the soft underbelly of L1 (13th) with 30 points, as much as the Greens.
