Parliament Speaker Rashid Ghannouchi called on Saturday to work on solving the political crisis in the country through dialogue between the main parties in power, in a way that reflects that Tunisia is a state of institutions.

Ghannouchi suggested that the president hold a meeting that brings together the presidents of the republic, the government and the parliament as soon as possible in view of the current political crisis.

A statement by the House of Representatives clarified that Ghannouchi called in a letter addressed to President Saeed to bring the parties together, in order to find solutions to the country's "complex crises."

Ghannouchi stressed the need to deliver a positive message to citizens and the countries of the world that Tunisia is a trustworthy institution, despite the difference between Tunisians and the increase in incitement speeches, as he put it.

This comes at a time when the government reshuffle crisis continues between the prime ministers, Hisham El-Mechichi and the President of the Republic, for about a month.

Al-Jazeera correspondent Maysa Al-Fatnasi explained that Ghannouchi's initiative gains its importance from the fact that it calls for a direct meeting between the main parties in power.

The President and the Ministers

President Saeed's suspension of the cabinet reshuffle is one of the most prominent manifestations of the political crisis in the country, according to the Al-Jazeera correspondent.

The correspondent indicated that this amendment won the confidence of Parliament 3 weeks ago, but Saeed refuses to invite ministers to take the constitutional oath, as he reserves some names for "their involvement in suspicions of corruption."

For his part, Ennahda spokesman Fathi Al-Ayadi said that Ghannouchi's initiative comes as an appreciation that the country is experiencing many crises on the social, economic and health levels, but it needs what is more important, which is calm and develop the spirit of national solidarity.

Al-Ayadi added that the initiative hopes that the head of state, as a symbol of its unity, will seek to compose and collect the word Tunisians, and to spread the national spirit at this difficult moment in the history of the Tunisian experience.

He stressed that this initiative comes to search for the necessary consensuses to solve the political crisis, which represents an obstacle to any solution to the rest of the economic and social crises that Tunisia is going through.
