20 February 2021 The Abruzzese who tested positive for the Brazilian variant of the coronavirus, who died in recent days at the hospital in Chieti, had recently returned from Umbria.



The man, 67, had returned to his home in Francavilla al Mare (Chieti) after a period in a rehabilitation facility outside the region. Once home, he had suffered symptoms of Covid-19 and tested positive for the swab.



Admitted to the Covid Medicine ward, the man, who had other pathologies, died shortly after. Yesterday it was found that it was the Brazilian variant. Family members are in home isolation under constant monitoring.
