Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The important 7-day code for new corona infections remains at 58 in North Rhine-Westphalia. According to figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days was also on Saturday at this value.

In the previous days, the incidence had risen slightly.

The health authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia reported 1722 new infections to the RKI within one day (previous day 2090).

The number of deaths rose by 75 to 12,595.

If the guideline value of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week remains stable, the NRW state government has announced further opening steps for schools.

Further relaxation of the corona measures can take place after a resolution by the federal and state governments if the 7-day incidence has fallen stably below 35.

According to the Landeszentrum Gesundheit (LZG NRW), Coesfeld (34.5), Münster (24.1) and Mönchengladbach (34.1) were below the incidence value of 35 on Saturday.

The highest value was still in Hagen (103.9).
