Kiel (dpa / lno) - Schleswig-Holstein's Minister of Education Karin Prien (CDU) has called for faster corona vaccinations for teachers.
If the prioritization of education is meant seriously, teachers, daycare staff and other school employees “have to move up the vaccination priority”, said Prien on Friday with a view to the opening of elementary schools and daycare centers in the coming year Week.
The state government is relying on a nationwide solution.
Then teachers and educators could receive vaccinations “relatively soon, even in March”.
Teachers and school employees can also have themselves tested for Corona free of charge up to twice a week.
The state government has made available 17.2 million euros for this.
In future, everyone in primary schools will be required to wear a medical mask.
