19 February 2021 For the investigators there could be the killer of Ilenia Fabbri in the images recorded last February 6 by a private camera in the area, shortly before the murder of the woman in her house in via Corbara in Faenza (Ravenna ).



An "unprofessional but dangerous" murderer is the identikit of the murderer that the acting Chief Prosecutor Daniele Barberini gave.

The Scientific Police are carrying out evaluations "on morphological aspects" precisely on the basis of the video footage, because the man glimpsed from behind while running down the stairs behind Ilenia, looks like a tall, well-placed man with thick shoulders and dressed dark.

The images are a sequence of a total duration of about 15 seconds, taken between 5.50 and 5.52 by the camera of a house in via Testi, a road that intersects via Corbara.

The images show a man dressed in dark and with a hood walking on the sidewalk until he stops almost under the lens.

At a certain point it would seem that the man notices the camera and then turns abruptly to the left, starting to walk on the other side, as if he were waiting.

It then crosses the intersection between via Testi and via Corbara and disappears from the frame.



The arrival in the car of the victim's ex-husband

Shortly after, the same camera records the arrival of the car of Claudio Nanni, the 53-year-old ex-husband of the victim now under investigation on the loose for multiple aggravated murder in competition with an unknown person.

For investigators, he could be the instigator of the murder.

Nanni has come to give a lift to his daughter Arianna, living with her mother, to go to Milan to pick up a car: at 5.57 am he writes to get off because he is already under the house.

A few minutes later the two are on their way and the camera, also in via Testi, records the passage of Nanni's car again.

While father and daughter are already on the highway, at 6.06 to call Arianna is the friend who stayed asleep that night in the house, the super-witness who heard some noises accompanied by the cries of the 46-year-old;

then he saw someone chasing the woman down the stairs.



Escort for the super-witness

The brief description provided by the young woman, who has been under protection for a few days, is compatible with the appearance of the man who appears in the video of the via Testi camera.

The girl's protection program, the only witness to Ilenia Fabbri's crime, was necessary because the young woman provided many elements for the solution of the mystery: starting with the phone call at 6.06 to her friend Arianna, on her way to Milan.

In the excited phone call he says that someone had sneaked into the house, presumably a thief.

He also reported Ilenia Fabbri's last words: "Who are you? What do you want?"

in fact, excluding that murdered and murderer knew each other.  



Investigations in progress

To try to give a name to the material perpetrator of the crime, the police investigators, coordinated by PM Angela Scorza, are in the meantime analyzing cells and telephone records as well as road and motorway gates.

The time frame of analysis focuses in particular between the moment of the woman's murder and the one in which the ex-husband, for now the only suspect, had warned the owner of the car that he and his daughter would go to collect it on February 6 in the morning.
