Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The makers of the Hamburg miniature wonderland are open to a change of entry model for vaccinated and non-vaccinated people in order to make ends meet financially in the long term.

"That could be a solution if there is a vaccination offer for everyone and the distance rules do not fall by then," said managing director Frederik Braun on Friday at the German Press Agency in Hamburg.

In contrast, opening their business to vaccinated people is not an option for the brothers Frederik and Gerrit Braun, they also said in a video published on YouTube.

You could understand these suggestions, "but that's not a solution, it excludes other people," said Frederik Braun.

In addition, the brothers are against a “mandatory vaccination through the back door”.

An opening with only 25 percent of the usual people is not economically feasible in the long run.

Her suggestion is therefore: On odd days, for example, all people can come at a distance and with masks, on the others all vaccinated people can come without distance and mask.

With this mixture, sales could be doubled in purely mathematical terms.

"We can survive longer as a culture at least for a while and we have a perspective."

This idea is just a suggestion, which of course also leaves questions open, said the brothers.

With 1.4 million visitors a year, the miniature wonderland with its huge model railroad, along with the Hagenbeck zoo, is one of the largest tourist attractions in the Hanseatic city.
