Harsefeld (dpa / lni) - A 21-year-old driver without a driver's license was on a chase with the police in the Stade district.
The police said that the man was noticed by the officers in Harsefeld on Friday afternoon.
It was known that he did not have a driving license.
The 21-year-old reportedly ignored the stop signs of a patrol car and sped away.
During the escape, an oncoming car had to apply emergency braking to avoid an accident.
Several other police cars went into pursuit.
On the outskirts of Ahrensmoor-West, the police were finally able to overtake and stop the fugitive.
The young man had to take a drug and alcohol test.
He was forbidden to continue driving and the car keys were removed.
