TRUMP: I will not come back to Twitter and launch my own social media platform

Former US President Donald Trump launched an attack on the media on Wednesday, in his first interview since leaving the White House, and also criticized his successor, Joe Biden.

Trump called Fox News, NewsMax and OAN to talk about the death of conservative radio broadcaster Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday.

Trump used his talk to the far-right "NewsMax" network to describe Twitter as "boring", since it was prevented from using it after his supporters stormed the US Capitol building last month, leaving five people dead.

When asked about the return on social media, Trump said he was "negotiating with a number of people."

He added, "There is also another option to build your own site, because we have more (support base) than anyone else, so you can literally build your own site."

Trump also criticized President Joe Biden, suggesting that he was "mentally disturbed."

Trump has not commented on whether he plans to run again for the presidency in 2024, which has become possible after the Senate acquitted him in his parliamentary trial last week.

When asked about his plans for 2024, Trump said: "I will not say yet, but we have tremendous support ... I am the only man who is questioned and my numbers are rising," referring to the approval ratings.

Trump has stayed at his Mar Alago resort in Florida since leaving the White House about a month ago.

The former president continued to claim that the elections were "stolen" from him, making the same statements that led a crowd of his supporters to storm the Capitol.
