It's high season on the planet Mars right now.

In early February, the United Arab Emirates' space probe entered orbit around the planet.

The next day, a Chinese space probe followed and now NASA's rover Perseverance will land on the planet's surface.

NASA's space probe is about the size of a regular car and is expected to land tonight at 22, Swedish time.

Started from the earth at the same time

The space probes started from Earth in July last year.

The fact that all three space probes were launched at the same time is due to the fact that Mars in the summer of 2020 was in an advantageous position in relation to Earth.

The distance was then 5.5 million miles.

When the distances are greatest, it is about 40 million miles.

On board is a Swedish researcher's meteorite piece - but why then?

In the clip above, you get to know more about the Mars landing.
