Sameradion & SVT Sápmi have found out if the Northern Lights have become more common.

But also found out tips on what to think about if you want to experience the phenomenon.

Urban Brändström, aurora borealis researcher at the Institute of Space Physics, believes that aurora borealis is statistically less common right now - and that people are in too much of a hurry.

- Many people only watch when the northern lights are very active.

But if you are out in the mountain world and wait until it is over, you can see how it pulsates across the sky, he says and continues:

- You can get structures in what looks like black aurora borealis arcs.

It's called the silly name "black aurora borealis".
