Speyer (dpa / lrs) - For the further development of teacher training in Rhineland-Palatinate, the State Education Institute has agreed to work with the Heraeus Education Foundation in Hanau.

In addition to the existing advanced training courses for teachers, the more far-reaching programs, with the support of the foundation, are aimed primarily at school administrators, as the State Education Institute announced on Thursday in Speyer.

The additional offers would focus on “the challenges of leadership in extraordinary times and digital transformation”.

"Leading and learning are mutually dependent," explained the director of the State Education Institute, Birgit Pikowsky.

For the foundation, the chairwoman of the board, Beate Heraeus, said: "The aim of our foundation's work is to give school administrators and teachers courage, to show attitude, to be proactive in the interests of the pupils and to promote their personal responsibility."

Part of the collaboration is an “Autumn Academy for School Management”.
