Bern (AP) - The two winter entrants Demarai Gray and Jeremie Frimpong make their starting eleven debut for the Werkself in Bayer Leverkusen's first leg at Young Boys Bern.

Both had been substituted on twice before.

Englishman Gray (24), who came from Leicester City, has played a total of 34 minutes so far.

The Dutchman Frimpong (20), who came from Celtic Glasgow, 22 minutes.

As announced, the goal is guarded by 27-year-old Niklas Lomb.

Regular goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky is absent due to a heel injury.

Lomb is playing his fourth competitive game for Bayer, the third of which in the Europa League.

For the first time he is in goal in an away competitive game.

With the Swiss champions, long-time Herthan Fabian Lustenberger, one of four former Bundesliga professionals, starts in the starting line-up.

The former Bayern professional Gianluca Gaudino and the former Bremen and Nuremberg Ulisses Garcia sit on the bench.

Vincent Sierro, an ex-Freiburg resident, is injured.
