The award ceremony is planned for October 22nd in Rottenburg am Neckar.

The dialect association awards this prize every four years to personalities for their life's work.

Previous winners are the writer Gerhard Raff (2013) and the author Felix Huby (2017).

The honorary award is undoped, the award winners receive a graphic work of art created for the occasion.

The honorary award is named after the founder and longtime publisher and editor-in-chief of the "Stuttgarter Zeitung" Josef Eberle (1901-1986).

Under the pseudonym Sebastian Blau he became one of the most important dialect poets in German literary history.
