Google has announced the launch of a new update to the Photos app that includes many advanced video editing functions, and great photo editing capabilities for paid subscribers.

The American company indicated that the presentation of the new update for the Photos app for Android phones will take place within a few days, while the version dedicated to Apple mobile devices will be shown within a few months.

Google explained that it has updated the Video Editor tool, as the application provides new capabilities for cutting video, changing perspective, adding filters, adjusting the brightness, contrast ratio, color saturation and white balance.

The new version of the Google Photos app includes many new photo-editing functions, as Portrait Blur and Portrait Light modes are also available for images that do not contain depth information, so that the bokeh effect and studio light can be simulated even with photos. Not captured in Portrait mode.

Google added that the Photo application provides many new effects that are triggered by machine learning technology, and therefore it is possible to do many complex actions with one click, and among these effects is the ability to automatically adjust the sky in landscape images, while adjusting the contrast and exposure ratio is done in Specific spots in the image.

In order to take advantage of these new functions, Google requires a smartphone with 3 GB of RAM, with at least Google's Android 8.0 operating system.
