State Department spokesman Ned Price said that the United States is aware of Iran's threat to terminate the implementation of an additional protocol to the safeguards agreement with the IAEA.

In his opinion, this would complement "other steps that Iran made contrary to the JCPOA."

“The good news is that all these steps are reversible and the path for diplomacy remains open,” TASS quoted Price as saying.

The diplomat recalled that the United States is calling on Iran to "complete and timely cooperation with the IAEA."

“If Iran resumes its compliance with the deal, then we will do the same,” he added.

Earlier, the White House said that the position of US President Joe Biden is as follows: if Iran adheres to the JCPOA, then the United States "will do the same."

Moscow also noted that Russia is not opposed to participating in a multi-format meeting to return the United States to the JCPOA proposed by China.
