One is the lawyer of a young Tunisian victim of gang rape, determined to make her attackers "pay".

The second, a human rights defender, finds himself pleading for a terrorist member of a far-right organization.

But how do you defend a client whose convictions are profoundly different from his?

In the second episode of season 2 of "My client and me", the podcast of Europe 1 Studio that plunges you into the heads of criminal lawyers, Me Martin Pradel and Me Henri Leclerc come back to the case that upset their certainties .

In September 2012, a news story shakes all of Tunisia.

A woman, raped by police officers, is accused of violating good morals ... Her story is told in the media, her name becomes a hashtag on social networks.

And under popular pressure, the Tunisian justice finally agrees to take legal action against the police.

The young victim then chooses Me Martin Pradel, a lawyer at the Paris bar who is very involved in the defense of human rights, to accompany him and convict his attackers.

But this dossier reserves for him a case of conscience that he is far from imagining.

In the mid-1960s and only a few months after the independence of Algeria, two men were accused of having participated in terrorist commandos in Algeria.

They are members of the OAS, the organization close to the far-right which advocates the armed struggle to restore France's presence in Algeria.

Me Henri Leclerc, then a young lawyer very committed to the left, was appointed ex officio to defend these two terrorists ... whom he denounced at length of meetings against the OAS.

How does the political and moral commitment of a lawyer guide his work?

Does a lawyer sometimes have to put his certainties aside?

And is a lawyer who espouses his client's cause necessarily more effective in ensuring his defense?

In the second episode of "Mon Client et Moi", the podcast of Europe 1 Studio which plunges you into the heads of criminal lawyers, Me Martin Pradel and Me Henri Leclerc come back to journalist Margaux Lannuzel on the case that shook their convictions.
