This year, Chinese New Year in situ has become the choice of many people.

We believe that the separation is only temporary. This Spring Festival, regardless of where the people are, or where the year is.

From February 10, China News.com launched a special plan for the Chinese New Year for the Year of the Ox, "Another Chinese New Year", to spend the New Year with you.

This year's Spring Festival, under the initiative of the local Chinese New Year, "New Year Package" became a buzzword for a while. The couriers ushered in the busiest Spring Festival. Many couriers also chose to stay behind and send "New Year Package" to thousands of households.

"The video celebrates my father's birthday, and the family letter takes me home warmly"

On the third day of the Lunar New Year, "Valentine's Day", when the reporter met Wang Lanwei, a delivery worker in Beijing, he had just delivered a bunch of flowers. He told the reporter, "Today's order is a flower cake. ."

Wang Lanwei is a native of Liaocheng, Shandong. He had not returned to his hometown in Shandong for the New Year for 5 years because of his young child.

On the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, his father's 66-year-old birthday, Wang Lanwei, who could not visit in person, had to express his friendship to his parents through a letter from the family.

Wang Lanwei's work generally starts at seven in the morning and works until eight in the evening.

"When the premium is good, for example, on the coldest day in Beijing, I ran for RMB 1,140, took the first order at 6:50 in the morning, and arrived home 4 minutes after 0:00 the next day." At this point, Wang Lanwei revealed A proud smile.

Wang Lanwei is very satisfied with this job. On the one hand, because of the high unit price and stable income of the flash delivery, on the other hand, he can stop taking orders at any time and is relatively free.

But what attracts him more is the feeling of being needed by this profession.

In September 2020, Wang Lanwei received an order early in the morning to send a nucleic acid test report to Beijing Daxing Airport, otherwise the customer would not be able to board the plane at 7 o'clock.

It is more than 60 kilometers from Shunyi District of Beijing to Daxing Airport. The customer gave two hours, but Wang Lanwei actually only took 1 hour and 10 minutes.

"The customer is grateful for the test report, reimbursed the high-speed fare, and gave me a tip. The kind of thank you needed by others makes me feel energetic when I think about it."

On another occasion, Wang Lanwei received an order for a girl to send back her ex-boyfriend’s items and promised to pay for the round trip if the other party refused to accept it.

When Wang Lanwei met the boy, he talked a lot with him.

Later, Wang Lanwei received a call from the girl, saying that she and the boy would get married soon, and invited him to their wedding.

"This year’s New Year’s Eve, I received an order to deliver a New Year’s Eve dinner to an elderly person. This New Year’s Eve dinner has six dishes. I will pay 96 yuan for the premium and tip, and I will arrange the meals for the elderly and say something to the elderly. Happy Chinese New Year, but my father is thinking of me." At this point, Master Wang was a little moved.

“Because of the epidemic, not only we can’t go back, but many people who work in other places have not returned to Beijing. Through our labor, we can let the elderly eat New Year’s Eve dinner on New Year’s Eve. This is the meaning of my work. Although I I didn't go home, but I believe this feeling can be fed back to my parents. I ordered a cake for my father, and it will be delivered on the day of his 66th birthday. My heart will also be conveyed by a courier."

"I don't care what other people are like, I'm quite suitable for quick delivery anyway. Not only can I help others, but I can also make a lot of money." Wang Lanwei said.

"

Fighting with colleagues, the Spring Festival is not so lonely

"

"Parcels are here, hurry up and sort them!" Piles of packages, shuttle figures, phone calls from time to time... During the Spring Festival holiday, there was a busy scene in front of the business office of SF Express Tea Club in Fuzhou. The head of the outlet Wang Cheng and his colleagues We are busy sorting and receiving parcels back and forth.

Wang Cheng, 32 years old, is from Mianyang, Sichuan. In 2019, he entered Fuzhou SF Express as a courier.

Working here for more than two years, Wang Cheng started at the grassroots level and gradually became the backbone of the business and the person in charge of the outlets.

"As the Spring Festival approaches, the volume of express delivery orders and collections has doubled, but our service is not closed." Wang Cheng said that he and his colleagues are busy from 7 am to 7 pm every day. Sometimes it's even 10 o'clock in the evening.

Since coming to Fuzhou in 2018 to work hard, Wang Cheng and his wife have not returned to their hometown in Sichuan for the New Year for three consecutive years. Their 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son also live with them.

During the Spring Festival, the family put up a mascot and posted the word "Fu" in a house of more than 60 square meters. The children also painted a children's picture of a family of four celebrating the New Year, saying "Happy new year!"

At the end of January, when the family learned that they could not go home for the New Year this year, they sent special products from Sichuan, such as smoked meat, sausages, and sausages.

"It's been a whole year of work abroad. It's certain to want to go home." A few days ago, Wang Chengyuan's grandmother in his hometown had her 84th birthday, and Wang Cheng had a video chat with the old man.

"The old man said that everything is fine at home, and he told me to continue to work hard. In fact, being able to fight with colleagues, I feel that this Spring Festival is not so lonely."

During the worst period of the epidemic last year, Wang Chengcheng took the initiative to give up his rest time and fought for the front-line job.

Wang Cheng said that his branch was in charge of six areas, but only two couriers came back at the time. Many customers lined up to send masks and anti-epidemic supplies. Each of them had to do the work of several people, working more than ten hours a day. , Express delivery still has a large backlog.

Later, Wang Cheng received calls from many colleagues saying he wanted to come back, but he couldn't get out because the village was closed and the road was closed.

Wang Cheng suggested that they walk to the highway intersection and drive to pick them up by themselves.

Wang Cheng drove out at 9:00 in the morning, 13 hours round trip, 1100 kilometers, to Pucheng County, Songxi County, Nanping City, Fujian Province, and the junction of Nanping and Jiangxi to pick up 4 colleagues and return to work safely.

After days of hard work and long-distance labor, Wang Cheng did not give himself time to rest. He continued to devote himself to work the next day. Fortunately, after the personnel were in place, the delivery service quickly returned to normal. Wang Cheng was very pleased.

Because of his outstanding performance, Wang Cheng was awarded the 2020 May 1st Labor Medal of Fujian Province.

"Customers’ New Year’s greetings make me feel warm and exhausted."

This is the second time that Jingdong courier Wang Dongdong has not returned to his hometown to celebrate the New Year. If he was ordered in danger last year, he would voluntarily ask for it this year.

The person in charge of JD Logistics stated that this year, from the perspective of protecting employees and family members, JD Logistics has made corresponding adjustments, advocating and encouraging everyone to celebrate the New Year on the spot, reducing personnel turnover, and increasing the stability and return of employees around and during the Spring Festival. Job subsidies and other benefits, especially for employees who stick to the front line in high-risk areas of the epidemic, will be given additional welfare subsidies.

Wang Dongdong also told reporters that staying in the company in Beijing will provide a subsidy of 1,000 yuan, as well as gatherings and other activities. Staying in this big family is not alone.

Wang Dongdong, born in 1989, was "diligence, desperate, and tireless" in the eyes of the workers, and won the title of "delivery expert" on the site many times. During this year's New Year's Day, he delivered more than 300 express items a day, and he became a member of the team. God-man".

“Last year’s Spring Festival, the express delivery volume in Daxing District, Beijing, where I was located, was not as large as this year. Last year’s business volume was dominated by express delivery, and this year it was more online shopping for New Year’s goods.” According to Wang Dongdong’s observation, this year’s express delivery volume exceeded that. Last year, the main reason was that a large number of people working in Beijing did not go home, and more and more people bought Chinese New Year goods online.

During the Chinese New Year, Wang Dongdong's site had more than a dozen couriers, and the capacity was relatively sufficient, but in order to ensure the timeliness, everyone still did not slack off.

During the e-commerce New Year’s Festival, Wang Dongdong worked an average of 17 or 8 hours a day. In order to improve efficiency, he would directly place the acquaintance customers in the designated location as required and then send a text message to inform him.

During the New Year, Wang Dongdong often receives "Happy New Year" wishes from customers, which makes him feel warm.

And what impressed him most was the smell of food in winter.

"One day I sent a text message to the customer after delivering the goods at 12 o'clock in the morning. The customer was not asleep. Not only did he send a thank you, he also ordered a takeaway for me. I was already dizzy and exhausted. It also confirmed what this job means to me."

When thousands of families were reunited on New Year’s Eve this year, Wang Dongdong worked until three in the morning before returning home to rest.

The site gave all the couriers a half-day holiday on New Year’s Day, and Wang Dongdong was able to have a reunion dinner with his wife at home.

In addition, the chefs in the outlets also work overtime together to ensure that the couriers can come back at any time and have hot meals to eat.

Wang Dongdong recalled these bit by bit, and said with emotion: "These things are not many, but they are all moving, they are all the taste of home."

"If you don't go home for the holidays this year, stay at the company to earn money." "Going home is risky, and the wallet will be flat; staying in the company during the New Year will not reduce family affection." During the New Year, many people, including the courier brother, chose Stay in the workplace and spend a different New Year.
