Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - Voluntary assistants in the Corona vaccination centers in North Rhine-Westphalia are tax relieved.
Those who support vaccinating the population as a part-time job can benefit from the trainer and volunteer allowance.
This was announced by NRW Finance Minister Lutz Lienenkämper (CDU) on Wednesday.
"This is an important sign and an expression of respect for all those who volunteer for our society and the protection of health."
The flat rate for trainers applies to volunteers who, for example, conduct informational discussions in a vaccination center or are involved in the vaccination themselves.
The regulation applies to income in the years 2020 and 2021. The lump sum was increased from 2400 euros in the previous year to 3000 euros in 2021.
All income up to this amount is therefore tax-free.
Those who work part-time in the administration and organization of vaccination centers can, according to the information, make use of the volunteer allowance.
For 2020 it was up to 720 euros, since 2021 up to 840 euros have been tax-free.
