The statement following the meeting of representatives of Russia, Iran and Turkey in Sochi in the "Astana format" says that the parties considered in detail the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone and stressed the need to maintain peace "on the ground" through the full implementation of all existing agreements on Idlib.

They also expressed serious concern about the increased presence and terrorist activity of the Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham * and other terrorist organizations affiliated with it, which threaten civilians inside and outside the Idlib de-escalation zone.

The parties declared their determination "to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and to resist separatist plans aimed at undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and threatening the national security of neighboring countries."

Earlier it was reported that terrorists carried out 35 attacks in the Idlib de-escalation zone in Syria.

“Jabhat al-Nusra” (“Hayat Tahrir al-Sham”, “Jabhat Fath al-Sham”, “Front al-Nusra”) - the organization was recognized as terrorist by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation dated December 29, 2014.
