Stade (dpa / lni) - The police seized more than three hundredweight of drugs with a sales value of 1.5 million euros during searches in the Stade district.
Two brothers aged 24 and 36 had been arrested and taken into custody, the police said on Wednesday.
Supported by a mobile task force (MEK), the officers searched four apartments in Horneburg and Nottensdorf the day before.
Around 80 kilos of marijuana, 53 kilos of hashish, 15 kilos of amphetamines, 12 liters of codeine and another 14 kilos of initially unknown substances were found in a hiding place.
There was also 900 grams of cocaine, drugs used to make drugs, a gun, and other evidence.
"That is by far the largest amount of drugs that we were able to secure here as part of an investigation in an individual case," said a police spokesman.
"According to our first estimates, the drugs and materials seized have a street sales value of almost 1.5 million euros."

In addition, three women between the ages of 21 and 44 were provisionally arrested but released after the police measures.
A 40-year-old was still in custody on Wednesday.
