Munich (dpa / lby) - Commuters from Tyrol and the Czech Republic are still allowed to work in around 2500 systemically important companies in Bavaria.

The cross-border commuters received a certificate for their entry.

"With these papers, the company employees from the Czech Republic and Tyrol can cross the border quickly and easily," promised Bavaria's Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) in Munich on Wednesday.

Commuters from Tyrol and Austria must present the certificate from the district offices and urban districts when they enter the country from Friday.

This shows that they are employed by a systemically important employer and are absolutely necessary for the maintenance of the company.

The papers are intended to facilitate controls at the Bavarian borders.

The Czech Republic and large parts of Tyrol are so-called virus mutation areas.

Since Sunday only Germans and foreigners with a residence and residence permit in Germany have been allowed to enter from there.

There are exceptions for truck drivers and cross-border commuters with systemically relevant professions - these include, for example, employees in the pharmaceutical and medical industry, employees of professional fire departments and security services or employees in public institutions.
