Ulm (dpa / lsw) - Justice Minister Guido Wolf (CDU) has called for a review of corona measures in view of the falling seven-day incidence in the southwest.

"From my point of view, there cannot be an automatism that in future everything will be measured by the number 35," said Wolf of the "Südwest Presse" (Tuesday) with a view to the number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week.

The state cabinet must now decide whether a continuation of the measures, which should apply up to 50, is proportionate, Wolf told the newspaper.

At a conference, the federal and state governments recently decided to consider easing the corona measures only from the number of 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.

Previously, the value of 50 in the seven-day incidence had been aimed for.

In this context, Wolf also referred to recent court decisions.

It is obvious that the courts tend to be more critical of restrictions with the decline in new infections, said Wolf.

"We shouldn't afford too many judgments that correct political decisions," said the CDU politician.

Otherwise, according to Wolf, there is a risk that trust in politics and the entire corona measures could be lost.

The administrative court in Mannheim had recently overturned the nationwide exit restrictions with reference to the declining infection rate in the country.
