This is reported by TASS, with reference to the weekly epidemiological bulletin of the World Health Organization (WHO).

"The number of reports of new cases of infection continues to decline," - stated in the WHO.

Last week, 2,726,974 people were registered (16% less than a week earlier) and 81,340 deaths (10% less).

The decline in the incidence over the past week was recorded in Africa (by 20%), the Western Pacific region (by 20%), Europe (by 18%), as well as in North and South America (by 16%). 

Earlier, the WHO reported that 192,266 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the world per day.
