Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - In an apartment fire in an apartment building in Saarbrücken, the fire brigade rescued two residents from the building, whose escape route via the stairs was already cut off by the flames.
All residents could have left the three-story house without major injuries, the emergency services said on Tuesday.
Two people were taken to a hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.
Due to the high level of smoke damage, the building is currently uninhabitable.
The fire brigade did not provide information on the amount of damage.
