Kiel (dpa / lno) - More than 40,000 people have been shown to have been infected with Corona since the outbreak of the pandemic in Schleswig-Holstein.
On Tuesday, the number rose to 40 032 (Monday: 39 781), according to data published by the Ministry of Health in Kiel (data status: February 16, 8:08 p.m.).
The seven-day incidence continued to decline.
There were 55.8 new infections per 100,000 population in seven days - on Monday it was 57.5.
The target for the next opening steps is 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days.
On Tuesday, 251 new corona infections were reported within 24 hours.
Exactly a week earlier it was 307. The number of deaths related to Covid-19 rose by 21 to 1,178.

According to the information, 391 corona patients are currently being treated in hospitals in Schleswig-Holstein.
74 of them are receiving intensive care medicine, 48 with ventilation.
