Dresden (AP) - Dynamo Dresden has to do without Yannick Stark for the time being.

As the third division soccer team announced on Tuesday, the 30-year-old midfielder has to sit out due to shoulder problems.

"The doctors have examined me in detail and I am hopeful that by taking a break from stress on the affected joint, I will be able to avoid an operation," said Dynamo's vice-captain in a statement from the association.

Conservative therapy with close controls was agreed with the attending physicians.

In training on the Friday before the game against VfB Lübeck, Stark had only opened his left shoulder joint in a duel and then immediately adjusted it again a moment later.

In addition to Robin Becker (cruciate ligament rupture), Patrick Weihrauch (ankle surgery), Chris Löwe (outer ligament rupture and bone contusion in the left knee) and Marco Hartmann (bone marrow edema in the knee), Stark is already the fifth player who will be missing from the third division leaders in the promotion battle.
