At present, the telephone counseling service at 1177 in the Stockholm Region is run by a subsidiary of Medhelp.

Now Vårdbolaget Kry has bought the company and wants to take over the telephone counseling on 1177, which has been criticized by the opposition.

Before Kry can take over the telephone counseling at 1177 Vårdguiden, this must be approved by the Stockholm Region.

That decision will be made by officials in the region's administration, not by politicians.

The fact that the issue does not reach any political body is defended by the majority.

- Since it is about a change of ownership and not about any change to the agreement itself, it is the salaried employees who have the delegation to make such decisions, says Daniel Forslund (L), chairman of the Innovation and Development Committee in the Stockholm Region.

Forslund is not surprised by the Left Party's criticism.

- The Left Party wants politicians to decide everything.

We have a very competent body of civil servants in the administration who will now investigate both risks and opportunities, including possible conflict situations, before they make a decision, says Daniel Forslund (L).

Clarification: It is only the telephone advice on 1177 that Kry wants to take over.
