The Ivorian Minister of Reconciliation, appointed in December, Kouadio Konan Bertin, KKB, will soon travel to Europe to meet Charles Blé Goudé and possibly Laurent Gbagbo.

The two men acquitted at first instance by the ICC are waiting to be able to return to Côte d'Ivoire.

Supporters of Laurent Gbagbo even expressed their impatience last week in the face of a process that seems to have stopped.

"

You were used to seeing Laurent Gbagbo and Charles Blé Goudé (…) Hurry up and say hello to them

 ".

This injunction, Bertin Kouadio Konan, known as KKB, says he received it from Alassane Ouattara.

The Minister of Reconciliation will therefore comply.

He is preparing a trip to The Hague where Charles Blé Goudé is located, without however explicitly mentioning a stopover in Brussels

where Laurent Gbagbo lives who is awaiting his return home

.

In this regard, KKB recalls that he visited Gbagbo's strongholds in Mama and Gagnoa in the south-west of the country at the end of January to discuss it with his "

 parents

 ".

“

If Gbagbo has to come back to Côte d'Ivoire, which is my wish, how does he come back?

If his return is to exacerbate the crisis, we will all have failed ten years later.

If he has to return to Côte d'Ivoire, his return must consolidate peace,

 ”said KKB.

An interview with Henri Konan Bedié

Before Europe, the Minister of Reconciliation is preparing a trip to Ghana very soon, to meet the exiles who are also preparing their return.

In front of the press, KKB also spoke about its tête-à-tête last month with Henri Konan Bedié.

Meeting which the former Ivorian president had made clear that it was made at the express request of the Senegalese Macky Sall.

KKB is indeed not in the odor of sanctity in the Democratic Party of Côte d'Ivoire (PDCI), from which it was excluded.

“

Already, that he receives me is a big step.

We started talking to each other,

”comments KKB, who promises to meet more with his former mentor.
