Sinsheim (dpa / lsw) - shock early Tuesday morning: The driver of a semitrailer truck caused an accident with a total of 13 cars and an injured driver on Autobahn 6 near Sinsheim (Rhein-Neckar district).

As the police announced, the man with his articulated lorry came too close to the right edge of the lane for reasons that were previously unknown and therefore collided with several warning beacons.

Several such warning beacons were thrown onto the road.

Twelve following cars then either collided with these barriers or drove over them, causing their vehicles to be damaged.

According to police, four cars had to be towed away.

Because of the accident, the A6 in the direction of Mannheim between Sinsheim and Wiesloch was temporarily closed, so that there were traffic obstructions in rush hour traffic.
