Four people, two men and two women aged 19 to 27, were arrested by the teams of the anti-crime brigade on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in the district of Beaulieu east of Rennes.

They were caught red-handed by the police at around 12:30 a.m. as they demolished a vehicle to steal items inside.

One of them also tried to get rid of a backpack containing part of the loot before being arrested.

The investigation quickly showed that around thirty cars had been damaged and visited during the night in the same sector.

During their police custody, which is still ongoing, the four individuals, already well known to the courts, have partially acknowledged the facts.

They should soon be summoned to court.
