Mainz (dpa / lrs) - In a collision between a tram and a car on Monday morning in Mainz, the 85-year-old driver was slightly injured.
As the police announced on Monday, the five passengers and the tram driver were unharmed.
The 85-year-old's car was pushed off the lane and against a boundary fence as a result of the collision.
The driver was taken to a hospital.
During the recording of the accident, the road and the tram route had to be closed, as the fire department announced.
This led to a backlog of several trams and obstructions in traffic.
According to the police, the tram could continue after the accident was recorded.
