Trial. The Prosecutor's Office, on Cristina Cifuentes: "The only beneficiary of that act was her and her political career"
The Provincial Court of Madrid has acquitted the former Madrid president
Cristina Cifuentes
for the so-called Master's case.
According to the sentence, to which EL MUNDO has had access, the court acquits Cifuentes of the crime of inducing documentary falsification, with all favorable pronouncements, but condemns Professor
Cecilia Rosado
and the official
María Teresa Feito
as author of the same.
The Chamber considers that it has not been possible to prove that the former leader of the PP pressed to falsify the certificate of the Final Master's Thesis (TFM) in the master's degree in Public Law of the Autonomous State of the Institute of Public Law of the Juan Carlos University of Madrid (URJC).
The master's case, from which she has been criminally exonerated, cost Cifuentes a political career.
In the case of Rosado, the postgraduate director who recognized the falsification of the record, she has been sentenced by Section 15 of the Provincial Court of Madrid to one year and six months in prison for a crime of falsification of documents.
For her part, the former CAM advisor, María Teresa Feito, the court has imposed a sentence of three years in prison.
