Sorsele is one of two municipalities in the county that have not budgeted for holiday jobs in 2021. The other municipality is Vindeln.
In Sorsele, the cost is around SEK 50,000 for about ten places.
Last year, the situation was the same, but when the state pushed for money, it eventually became a holiday job.
- We have not set a budget for the holiday jobs this year.
But we are watching to see if there is any government money like last year.
We can hope for the best and if there is money, we will probably make a decision that we will drive again this year, says Kjell Öjeryd (V), municipal councilor in Sorsele municipality.
