Al-Jazeera correspondent in Tunisia said that Prime Minister Hicham El-Mechichi has exempted 5 ministers who were recently approved by Parliament.

The Tunisian government presidency said that it is open to solutions that ensure the completion of the ministerial reshuffle so that ministers can carry out their duties.

The political crisis in Tunisia reached its climax, with the announcement of the President of the Republic, Qais Said, of his categorical refusal to retreat from his position on the government reshuffle as a whole.

Said said during his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Tunisian Labor Union, Noureddine Taboubi, recently, that he is absolutely not ready to retreat from his principles and that he has sworn to respect the constitution.

Qais Saeed previously described the ministerial reshuffle made by al-Machishi and ratified by Parliament on January 25 as "unconstitutional," as he indicated his refusal to receive some ministers to take the constitutional oath in front of him under the pretext of suspicions of corruption hovering around them.
