Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Hamburg's Court of Auditors presents its annual report for 2021 today.

In it, he takes a close look at the budget and economic management of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

This also includes the audit of the 2019 budget and consolidated financial statements by the city council and the Senate.

Due to further structural problems, the auditors did not give the 2018 accounts top marks last year.

The financial and accounting cycle is not closed, the accounting is organized decentrally and various systems have to be continued in parallel, the Court of Auditors complained.

But although he noted a large number of partly serious complaints in his annual report, he did not want to make a negative overall judgment.

The Hamburg administration is already in order, stated the audit office.
