Göppingen (dpa / lsw) - Handball Bundesliga team Frisch Auf Göppingen has signed the Icelandic national player Gunnar Steinn Jonsson.
The 33-year-old playmaker comes from the Danish first division club Ribe-Esbjerg HH and will receive a contract until June 30, 2021, as the Göppingen announced on Monday.
Jonsson is to replace the currently injured Janus Smarason with the Swabians until the end of the season.
«I am very pleased to be playing at Frisch Auf in the coming months.
This is a somewhat unexpected adventure during such a busy period in world history, ”said Jonsson.
