During the same period, the U.S. and the EU's merchandise trade volume was approximately 555 billion euros, making it the EU's second largest trading partner.

  Last year, the EU exported 202.5 billion euros of goods to China, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%; imports from China were 383.5 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%.

  Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, "Brexit" and other factors, last year the EU's exports to the UK fell by 13.2%, while imports from the UK fell by 13.9%. The UK is now the EU's third largest trading partner.
