Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Customs investigators have launched a gang of suspected drug dealers.

As the public prosecutor in Konstanz and the Stuttgart customs investigation office announced on Monday, three men and two women were arrested and large amounts of drugs and cash as well as various weapons were seized.

The officers found 45 kilos of marijuana, 7 kilos of amphetamine, 2.5 kilos of hashish and 200 grams of cocaine during the search of several apartments in the Schwarzwald-Baarkreis.

Their sales value is put at more than 800,000 euros, it said.

In two garages, the suspects had stashed most of the drugs as well as three pistols, a revolver and a fully automatic submachine gun and ammunition.

In addition, the investigators discovered in the raid last Wednesday around 250,000 euros in drug money and a money counting machine.

Assets totaling 1.1 million euros have been frozen, said a spokesman.

The action was preceded by months of undercover investigations.

The main perpetrators are a man and his mother.

Arrest warrants have been issued against all of the suspects, who are between 32 and 62 years old.

It is being investigated for violations of the Narcotics Act, Weapons Act and War Weapons Control Act.
