Wesel (dpa / lnw) - A flame in a saucepan triggered a fire in Wesel.
When a 75-year-old woman prepared her food in the kitchen, it caught fire and the flames had spread to the extractor hood, the police said on Monday.
The elderly woman was still able to extinguish the pot herself, the extractor hood was only extinguished by the fire brigade called.
The 75-year-old and a 74-year-old resident from the apartment above were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
A building damage occurred in the fire on Saturday, according to the information.
