Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Problems in partnership, at work or with health: In Hesse there are 32 advice centers that are aimed at men.
This emerges from a response from the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs in Wiesbaden to a state parliament request.
The focus is on a wide variety of issues such as relationship issues, economic conditions, mental and physical health - as well as domestic violence.
«To combat domestic violence comprehensively and successfully, the offers must be aimed at all target groups affected or involved in violence.
This includes, among other things, counseling for men who practice domestic violence and for men who are victims of violence, ”replied the ministry to the small question from the former AfD and now non-attached MP Rolf Kahnt.
According to the ministry, there has been a slight increase in domestic violence criminal charges since the beginning of the corona pandemic compared to the period from March to November 2019.
But: "Valid information for 2020 is currently not possible."
The final figures will only be available with the police crime statistics.
That is expected for spring.

The ministry also gave data on the 31 women's shelters in Hesse.
Their total occupancy was therefore 1255 women and 1282 children in 2019.
