Hanover (dpa / lni) - Three suspected fraudsters who are said to have posed as police officers have to answer again from today (9:00 a.m.) to the Hanover regional court.

The men between the ages of 25 and 34 were accused of 22 crimes in 2017 and 2018 - they are said to have deprived seniors of their savings with their tricks and earned more than 460,000 euros.

The crime scenes were Rheine and Bielefeld in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as Hameln, Bodenwerder, Bad Münder, Goslar, Salzhemmendorf, Bad Pyrmont and Aerzen in Lower Saxony.

At the end of 2019, a total of seven members of the gang had been sentenced to long prison terms for the fraud series using the scam “false police officers”.

The three now accused had successfully appealed, said a court spokesman.

Therefore, they are being renegotiated.
